Yes, you read that right-I did an entire Kitchen remodel for under $50! That included painting the walls, cabinets, and accessories. Yesterday I showed you how I updated my back splash on a budget and today I'm going to show you the project that started small and morphed into an entire kitchen transformation. First off lets start with a before picture shall we? Just so you can get the full effect.
This is what the house looked liked when we toured it. Sorry for the blurry pictures it was taken on my phone. Its a nice looking kitchen but to me it just felt so dark. Tan walls, black cabinets, black and red accessories Some people would look at this kitchen and love it, I'm not one of those people.
When we moved in one of the very first things we did was change the colors on the wall. The entire house was tan and for someone who loves color that just wasn't going to work for me. We switched it to a bright cherry yellow and it instantly helped bring more light into the space. I love the beach house look and like I said in yesterday's post I really want my kitchen to be a bright inviting space where people want to spend time cooking and chatting.
Unfortunately all the kitchen plans got put on hold for 6 months when I got hit by a drunk driver. And I had a really hard time getting up the desire to finish the project. So when I had the opportunity to pair up with Royal Design Studio Stencils for a review and giveaway (coming soon), it was just the kick in the pants I needed to get things done. Be prepared for picture overload-
Now you can't use "staying on budget" as an excuse for not updating your kitchen! Come back tomorrow for a full break down of the transformation including a break down of costs and how I was able to do it for so cheap.
