Martha Stewart Banana Bread

Martha Stewart has done it again, but this time she's rocking the kitchen! We've had this recipe in my family for years and every time I take it to any kind of a get together it's one of the first things to go. My ecclesiastical leader has started asking for it on a weekly basis. I will give a warning to those of you trying to eat healthy, this is NOT healthy in any way, shape, or form. But it is delicious-and I dare you to try and eat just one piece.

I like my banana's to be almost black before I use them-it makes the banana taste even more prominent  And the mix of soft banana's and sour cream make this the most moist banana bread you'll ever taste.

You can use this recipe to make one large loaf or four small loaves, but four small loaves means you have to share. I wasn't feeling very generous this time.

From my kitchen to yours-Enjoy!

Martha Stewart Banana Bread

1 Stick Butter-softened
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ½ Cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 Cup Mashed Ripe Bananas
½ cup Sour Cream
1 tsp Vanilla

In a large mixing bowl cream sugar and softened butter. Add the eggs and beat until blended. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, beat until blended. Blend in mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 1 large loaf or 4 small loaves.

You can print this recipe {here}.

This goes perfectly with my mom's Crock Pot Wassail recipe.

An accident update is coming up on the blog tomorrow.
