One of the best parts of SNAP last weekend was finally being able to meet some of the friends I've "met" online in real life! It was so great to be surrounded by such crafty people and to be inspired by them. I just wish I could have met ALL my online friends! Including the girl I do a monthly "craft night" with. Lindsay from Artsy Fartsy Mama, Marilyn from 4 You with Love, Anna from Directions Not Included, and Laura from Smallgood Hearth.
If you're new here you can check out the Crepe Paper Shamrock I made for last months craft. This month we decided to be inspired by something we found on Pinterest-we went with this wreath-

I LOVE this wreath and I was really tempted to make an exact replica of it but just in different colors. But, we wanted to be INSPIRED by the wreath-not just copy it. So I went to Michael's and decided to mix this wreath and the yarn wreaths I've seen floating around and here's what I came up with-
Can I just tell you how excited I am to finally have a house? It means I'll finally have a cute door that isn't in a stairwell so I'll be able to get some decent light!
I wanted a wreath that I could have up for a few months while we work on other projects through the house. So I looked for colors that reminded me of summer-and I love how the colors work together!
I didn't do a tutorial because the wreath is pretty self-explanatory. But I'll do a quick run-down just in case. I used a foam wreath and wrapped it in the yellow yarn (I'll warn you-this takes forever!). Then I took 1'' foam balls and wrapped them in the teal and white yarn. I used hot glue to secure them to my wreath and a piece of teal yarn hot glued to the back holds my wreath up on the door.
Super simple and yet it brings a lot of fun colors to my drab door!

I absolutely love your take on the wreath. The colors you used are great...not sure I have the patience for all of that yarn wrapping, though. :) Great use of inspiration.
