Mojo's sister Sallee is the wonderful blogger behind The Highly Educated Housewife not only is she a fantastic blogger but she's also a wonderful women who does so much for her family as well as ours.
Mojo and I are so grateful to have her in our lives and even though she lives far away we wanted to let her know about much we love and appreciate her. So after reading about this adorable idea of sending a box of sunshine I decided to make my own.
Mojo and I headed to the store and picked out all the yellow candy we could find then I came home and searched Pinterest for fun printable's all about the sun and got the package ready on Saturday to send off.
I didn't have a lot of money to spend but I wanted to send her a few things that might make her day better-
I printed of this adorable chevron printable this site and sent it to her so she could hang it up and remember on tough days how much we love her.

I made her some fun note cards so she can send to others who might need a little pick me up-
I printed off these adorable cards from this site and tapped them to the candy bars-
I took another printable from that same site and using wax paper and staples. I made a little pack for the yellow Dove chocolates. The package came with a lot more chocolates so I ended up stuffing those all around the box right before we taped it up.
I also wrote her a quick note-letting her know we're thinking about her. Then we packaged it all up and sent it on it's way. The post office said it would get to her by Monday-I hope she likes receiving her little box of Sunshine.

Hi Kari, What an adorable idea. It's my pleasure to feature this in my Fab Friday Favorites today. Please feel free to take an "I Was Featured" button if you don't already have one.
Warmly, Michelle
I loved this idea. It's super cute and I love that the 'yellow' theme means you have to be creative with it. I made one for a friend who was recently going through a difficult patch and she LOVED it.
Check out my efforts: http://lomosio.wordpress.com/2012/06/20/little-box-of-sunshine-13/
Kari, thanks for the inspiration. Just gave you a shout out when I made care packages for my 2 oldest!
