Valentine Heart Pillow

First off I want to do a quick shout out to these awesome blogs for featuring one of my crafts in the last week-

JAQS Studio Romance on a Dime Singing Three Little Birds, Oopsey Daisy , and The 36th Avenue all featured my Valentine's Day Wreath.

Southern Lovely  and Literally Inspired  featured my LOVE Mason Jar.

And Roadkill Rescue featured my Painted Baby Crib. Be sure to check out all these amazing sites and their fun parties!

If you follow me on Facebook than you know how excited I was to start working with the sewing machine I got for Christmas. Mojo and I headed to Walmart on Saturday and I got lots of burlap to make all sorts of fun projects.

First up was a copycat of Rae Gun Ramblings Envelope Pillow tutorial. It was such an easy tutorial to follow and I highly recommend it. The most sewing I had done was about 30 minutes before this when I threaded my machine and sewed a line on some scrap fabric.

I love the look of burlap pillows and wanted to spruce mine up a little bit. So after finishing the pillow I decided to paint a big red heart on it.

I love how my new burlap pillow turned out! I bought A LOT of burlap-way more than I'd ever need for pillows over the weekend so I'm coming up with some fun projects to use it on. Be sure to check out the envelope pillow tutorial-it's such an easy way to spruce up any place on a small budget!
